October - November 2016

I went out of town for 2 days so the kids got to spend time with Aunt Melissa, they had a blast of course.

They went to Rocky Creek Farm

Our favorite Townshend's Teahouse

Perinatal Mood Disorder Conference in Helena, MT

Two of a kind

Another visit to Rocky Creek Farm

Ran into friends at Rocky Creek Farm

Gordon's best friend, Kendyl

Some more Kindergarten girls missing Gordon

The whole Kindergarten class made cards for Gordon!

Museum of the Rockies grossology day

Halloween morning sky

Ella's class

School Halloween parade

Trick or Treating at Mark's work

So nice to run into the Watschke's

Notice how "Trump" is standing there while the women do the work. Very accurate portrayal.

Gordon kept asking him if he was real, he was the best costume downtown.

Neighborhood trick or treating - we lucked out with really warm weather

Gordon & I need some selfie practice

Replacing the back door

Mark & I actually went to a party without the kids! WooHoo!

More hugs from Kindergarten friends

Gordon's whole class wanted to show him their latest projects

Ella has a new obsession with reading. All of my dreams are coming true.

I'm psyched to go to the march in DC in January with a bunch of Bozeman ladies. I have so much to say about the election but my head is still spinning so I'll leave my favorite posts so far about the whole ordeal:

How about those cabinet picks? So much for "draining the swamp." He fooled a lot of folks.

Getting shit done. I sent several emails to the principal about the kids not having access to water during lunch. A couple of weeks later they put a water jug in the lunch room and installed a new water fountain outside of the lunch room.

Ready for ski season!

New glasses!

Above is my friend buying her ticket to the march in DC in January. I am really lucky to have so many strong women as friends! I want my kids to grow up around people like this, people who stand up for what's right even though they are just one person. These are the people who make a difference in the world.

Ladies night downtown

Solidarity rally in Bozeman - I'm proud to live here.

The organizer of the rally wrote this:

Violence and hate is spreading very quickly across our country. Marginalized groups are being threatened, bullied, and treated in ways I know we know is not ok.

It is our job to let our school, our state, and our country know that we will not tolerate acts of hate, racism, sexism, etc against those we love. This rally will be showing the minorities, friends, families, and loved ones in our community that we stand with them, and will not let anyone hurt them. We will not stand for oppression or mistreatment.

We have a voice and we must use it. This will be in solidarity with the many protests occuring around the country. Let our community, or government, and our president elect hear your voice.

I want this to be about peace, friendship, and community. I will not stand for violence, or division. I want to build a bridge, not a wall.

Join this for our environment, women, Muslims, Mexicans, Latino/a's, our LGBQT+ community, and those who have come to this country in hopes of a better life for themselves and their families.

Our friends from Golden, CO came to visit. Her parents and brother live in Bozeman so we were fortunate to get to see them! Gordon adored her son.

Thanksgiving walk at Peets Hill

Smashing the frozen creek

Ella's art camp project

Mark's Thanksgiving project - new bathroom fan (before the cover was installed)

Our new front door - a new light will go next to the door soon. We still have to order new windows for the front of the house (all of the other windows were replaced a couple of years ago), replace the siding, replace the trim, get new gutters, build a back deck, resurface the driveway, put up a fence, resurface the garage door, insulate the hell out of everything, put solar panels on the roof and landscape, but the new entrance is quite inviting. 20 more years and the house will be complete!

Old front door - notice the single pane windows covered in condensation. Our new doors are super energy efficient! Mark put great stuff and caulk around them so there are no more cold drafts!

Visiting my friend's foster kittens  - we all wanted a kitten after seeing these cuties but Mark is super allergic

Our adorable neighbor girl

Another one of Ella's art camp projects

The new back door with temporary trim. We will put new trim on when we replace the siding.

I love trading childcare with friends.
