February 2014

The photos in this post are not in order

We did another day at the zoo/museum

I have been working on my lactation educator certification which means some peaceful hours alone at the coffee shop.

TLC is coming along

We found some dogs in our yard so we held them until animal control could pick them up - they didn't have tags. Ella loved them and Gordon hid inside most of the time as you can see above.

Mark being a goof

This is how we found Nana when we came back from our anniversary lunch!  haha

Jeff brought me these antique skis when he came to CO to ski!

Our anniversary was on February 20th.  We've been married for 7 years.  We had lunch at the Creekside Cellars winery in downtown Evergreen while Nana watched the kids. After our lunch we toured the Woodrow Wilson Homeschool Connection here in Evergreen.  Ella can start in the fall, she would go every Thursday.  We were pleasantly surprised by how unstructured and fun it looked.  The kids were all talking and active, unlike traditional school. We're pretty sure we'll be registering her.

Mark is like no other man I have ever met. I am so fortunate to have met a man so confident in himself that he would attend Aveda Institute to learn cosmetology, he was the only straight man that I knew in the school.  Then I learned he was also pursuing a ph.d in Mathematics...a man that uses both sides of his brain. I was intrigued! The cherry on the top...he doesn't watch sports! He has such a big heart and he does things to make this world a better place.  He spends his free time volunteering for Trout Unlimited, doing things like improving their website and cleaning up streams. He's also the most honest person I have EVER met!  He doesn't talk poorly about people and he hates gossip. Let's quote a movie and be really cheesy now, "he makes me want to be a better person." I have learned so much from him and am a more positive and compassionate person because of him. I could seriously write a book about everything I love about him!

Look at the huge glass!
