November 2013

Watching Meerkats in IMAX 3D at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science

The kids were hilarious at the movie.  Ella shoved her face with popcorn the whole movie and Gordon asked a question after each scene.  We will definitely be seeing more 3D movies at the museum!

On the way to surprise Nana after the museum Gordon put this bag on his head and fell asleep.  One of the many reasons we love this kid.  He is a nut even when he is tired!

Owls live in the trees around the house Nana lives in.  The kids love to find owl feathers and sometimes even spot an owl.

Visiting Nana

Gordon wanted a picture of mom

Help yourselves!

Nice buck

I don't know what he was doing but it was cute.

A few photos by Gordon & Ella

New members night at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science - one of the volunteers was dressed in the T-Rex "costume" - he was eating children's heads ; )

Ella didn't get a picture of the walking T-Rex eating her head so she wanted this one.

3 bull elk came for a visit

The elk were still hanging out several hours later

Gordon LOVES getting his hair cut

My little crafters

Miss Emilie's Creative Bridges camp - both Ella & Gordon went to camp this time.  4 hours a day for 4 days!
They end camp with a popsicle ; )

Ella's dear friend Amelia - these two are so cute together.  They usually are still talking as I pull away from the building - yelling out the car window ; )

The kids carried this ice up from the creek and colored it with food coloring.

More about Miss Emilie's camp: http://www.creative-bridges.com
This is a child driven, process directed art, animals and nature program for children ages 2 1/2 through Elementary school. Creativity is encouraged anywhere...inside the studio, in the chicken coop, in the tree house, at the creek, or on a trail.  Your child will be encouraged to go outside during every class.
Children will be allowed to experiment, observe, test and explore with materials they desire.  They will experience success, failure and creativity that is rooted in play.
There is a freedom about this place.  There is no right or wrong way to create anything.  It is simply experience.

Gordon took a picture of his art project - a piece of wood with a nail in it.

Picking out our Christmas tree

Found one!

Back at home!

Thanksgiving dinner!

Mark made the kids a chair swing out of our old kitchen chair.

Gordon got himself "ready" and came out to play

Some more casting in the driveway
