The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park where Dumb & Dumber was filmed. Steven King's version of The Shining was also filmed at The Stanley. Steven King's inspiration for writing The Shining came after staying at The Stanley in room 217 for a night. Jim Carey lasted 3 hours in one of the famously haunted rooms, he refused to tell anyone what happened in the room.
