This is a slideshow we played at our party after we were married. We eloped without telling anyone on February 20th 2007. We mailed a letter to everyone to let them know, so nobody knew until a couple days after we were married. We got married in our favorite place, Bozeman, MT! The letter we mailed is below:
Hello Everyone!
Amber and I are pleased to announce our marriage on February 20th, 2007 in Bozeman, Montana. We thank our parents, Richard and Lois Deming of Colby, WI and Benjamin Campanelli of Rochester, NY and Mary Lou Schwartzberg of Ovid, NY. Without their love, neither of us could have made it to this milestone.
For those of you who have not heard the story, Amber and I met just more than a year ago in Minneapolis while we were both attending the Aveda Institute. Thank you Javi for introducing us!
After my “recovery” in Minneapolis away from all my math books, I decided to head back to Montana to give one more push for my Ph.D. Amber was willing to give Bozeman a chance, and both of us wanted to give us a chance. The past year has had its ups and downs, but our work so far has paid off and we decided to deepen our commitment to each other.
For Amber’s friends and family, here’s a little bit about her new hubby. I am a 1992 graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School, in my hometown of Rochester, NY. I have a B.A. in geology and an M.S. in math education from the University of Rochester. I also have an M.S. in mathematics from Montana State University where I currently teach undergraduate mathematics while pursuing my Ph.D. in math biology. My passion for fly-fishing brought me to Montana in 2001.
For my friends and family, here’s a little info about Amber. She is a 2005 graduate of Abbotsford High School, in her hometown of Abbotsford, WI. She graduated from the esthiology program at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 2006 and is now a licensed esthetician. She loves to garden and scrapbook, and always pays the bills the same day they arrive in the mail.
If all goes as planned we should be in Bozeman until next summer, so come see the mountains, and us!
